Designed to bring the fine edge of a rib to places inaccessible to hands, such as large jars with narrow mouths and bottles. The handle length allows for reach and the curve allows the tool to hook under the shoulder of a vessel. The throwing stick is 28.5 cm (11.2 inches) long.
